There isn't always a lot of space to work with, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve a high end renovation. The key to a beautiful makeover is discovering what you're working with. Find the best features in that room and accentuate them. This room has a great 10' ceiling height ...... as for the rest of the space....there's not much to talk about.... small.... dated.....textured walls.... poor lighting... and still, this is one of my favorite DIY makeover projects to date! It really shows just how much drama you can pack into a space, and with some helping hands from my dad and my husband this bathroom was completely transformed!
With no window, one light source above the sink and paneling to make this space feel even smaller than it was, this bathroom was a complete gut job! Here's a look at what we did.
- Ripped out the paneling and sanded down the texturized walls, to bring this room down to the studs.
- Removed that dated porcelain floor tile and replaced it with solid marble option.
- Moved the electrical from one dated fixture above the sink to 2 beautiful oversized sconces on either side of this new dramatic 5' mirror, to help accentuate the height of the space.
- Replaced the vanity with a more modern/transitional solid wood option, and finished it off with a carrara marble top that compliments the new marble flooring.
brushed nickel accents and mirrored gallery wall finish off this bathroom's new updated look!
